The Role
We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to join our growing team. This role focuses on driving new business while actively managing customer success to maximise retention and growth. You will collaborate directly with our internal team of Scientists to translate complex technical data into commercial opportunities, owning the process from proposal development to account expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientist Collaboration:Work with internal scientists to extract technical insights.
- Proposal Development: Co-create technical proposals, quotes, and complex tender responses.
- Technical Translation: Simplify complex plasma physics concepts for diverse customer audiences.
- New Business Development: Identify sales opportunities in academia and industry.
- Pipeline Management: Handle full sales cycles from sourcing to closing.
- Software Demonstrations: Present Quantemol software capabilities to potential technical clients.
- Customer Success: Onboard new users to ensure active software adoption.
- Account Retention: Manage the complete end-to-end subscription renewal process.
- Upsell & Expansion: Identify account growth opportunities during renewal cycles.
- Technical Collaboration:Partner with developers to convey specific customer feedback.
- Event Representation:Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and global networking events.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales Experience: 2+ years in deep tech sales or account management.
- Technical Translation: Proven ability to explain complex scientific ideas simply.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Experience working alongside highly technical teams or PhD researchers.

Computational Scientist
Work with and interface to established backend quantum chemistry and scattering codes, including R-matrix-based implementations.
Perform electron-molecule cross section calculations for Quantemol customers across research and industrial projects.
Engage closely with the UK R-matrix code community to support and align ongoing development.
Collaborate on scientific publications with Prof. Jonathan Tennyson and the research group at University College London.
Apply advanced quantum chemistry and scattering theory concepts, including excited states and cross sections.
Contribute to consultative, customer-facing projects, translating scientific requirements into robust computational solutions.
Document code, methods, and results to support reproducibility and long-term maintenance.
Strong background in quantum chemistry and electron-molecule collision theory, including excited states and cross sections.
Excellent Python programming skills and experience working with scientific codebases.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a research-driven team.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with FORTRAN codebases, particularly legacy or high-performance scientific software.
Familiarity with R-matrix-based electron scattering codes.
Experience delivering consultative or customer-facing scientific projects.
Experience with front-end development for scientific or engineering software.

Technical Program Manager
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, budget and risk management.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across scientific research, software development, and external collaborators.
Monitor programme progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement corrective actions where required.
Act as the primary interface between internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders, including customers and partners.
Translate scientific and technical requirements into structured deliverables and development roadmaps.
Prepare regular reporting for senior leadership and the Board, including progress updates, risks, and performance metrics.
Support business development activities, including identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and contributing to grant applications.
Contribute to operational processes, including project governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across workflows.
Assist with customer engagement, including technical discussions, progress reviews, and occasional on-site visits.
